Invite us for your Service Project

Local to NW Indiana Service Project Opportunities

If your church group, company, small group or organization is looking for a creative & unique way to bless a community that 1 in 4 families find themselves in — we would love to come to you!

Our service projects are catered to ages young & old, sharing the message & mission of Something to Hold in an appropriate way that is curated specifically for the groups that invite us to share. Typically 2 hours in length.

This is what a service project with Something to Hold looks like —

1.

Sharing the Story behind Something to Hold

A STH representative will come & share with your group how STH got started, the stage we are in now, where it is going & how you can be involved. Slideshow optional.

2.

Give the Blanket Making Instructions

Dividing into groups, we will demonstrate how we make our one layer, fleece, hand—tied blankets. Scissors & cutting guides are brought with your speaker!

3.

Gather, Cut & Tie with your Community

Take time to cut & tie the blankets together, joining in community to share stories & provide comfort to families with empty arms.

4.

Wrap & Pray Over the Blankets that are Made

We like to take the time to pray for the families these blankets will be going to — sending anyone home with one that is in need.

Investment & Contribution

fabric donation or reimbursement

Abigail from Something to Hold will bring this Service Project to you! This relieves you from gathering the necessary supplies to make these blankets along with having a meaningful storytelling time with a blanket making instructional.

This is roughly a 30 minute speech.

We will bring all needed supplies (scissors, cut guides & marketing materials), be available for questions, work alongside your group & be able to take the blankets after the event is complete.

There are two options for the fabric to be provided which will be discussed further during our booking session —

Option A : Your organization would be responsible for getting the fabric with the guidance from our team to help you know how many blankets to prepare for & what requirements are needed. This allows you to shop sales & options, yourself!

Option B : We can purchase & bring the fabric with us that day based on your group size & budget. Your organization would then provide a reimbursement check to Something to Hold. This is a $15 per blanket cost.

How many blankets will you need? Here is our formula: 2 blankets per group of 3 to 5 people.

Both options are tax deductible donations to STH with receipts provided.
